DC - Shenmue

Shenmue (シェンムー Shenmū?) (final de 1999 no Japão, 2000 no ocidente) é um video-jogo produzido e realizado por Yu Suzuki da Sega-AM2 para Dreamcast. Suzuki criou um novo género, FREE (Full Reactive Eyes Entertainment), para o jogo, baseado na sua interactividade e liberdade incomparáveis até então, bem como um sistema inovador que simulava as condições do clima em tempo real, jogadores não jogáveis com falas diferentes dependendo do dia, Quick Time Events e várias outros detalhes como maquinas que vendem brindes, Fliperamas e lojas de conveniência.

Shenmue tem uma jogabilidade diferente por trazer vários gêneros diferentes do mesmo, como seu mundo aberto e segmentos em batalhas 3D. Foi o jogo de produção mais cara de seu tempo, com custo de de $47 milhões de dólares na época, equivalente a $64 milhões em 2011. O jogo teve uma sequência em 2001, Shenmue II, e com promessa de mais um para terminar a historia, porém, até então não lançado. O total de custo da produção dos dois jogos foi em torno dos $70 milhões naquela época, coisa de $95 milhões em 2011.

A História

A história começa quando a personagem principal (Ryo Hazuki) se depara com o assassinato de seu pai pelas mãos de um homem chamado Lan Di, chefe de uma organização mafiosa chinesa, e com o roubo de um estranho e misterioso espelho chamado Dragon Mirror (Espelho do Dragão). No entanto, existe um espelho gêmeo, chamado Phoenix Mirror (Amuleto do Fenix). Ryo terá de encontrar o Phoenix Mirror, recuperar o Espelho do Dragão, vingar o seu pai e descobrir as razões da sua morte. Ele terá igualmente que chegar a Hong Kong onde se encontrará com Ling Sha Hua com quem está telepaticamente ligado e com que sonha constantemente. E terá continuidade.

Be sure you have at least 4,000 yen. Go to the Tomato store in Dobiuta. Then buy either potato chips, chocolate, or caramel so you can do the raffle. Keep on buying and buying until you get the 2nd prize (this takes a lot of patience.) Now that you won the Sega Saturn game, go back home. Go to the TV room (the room across your bedroom.) Open up the doors on the TV stand (you will pick up the Sega Saturn and put it on the TV.) Look at it, then go to the inventory screen (the Y button.) Select your Saturn game, and enjoy!

Four Discs, Four Different Audio Warnings

If you place your Shenmue Discs into any CD-Player you'll hear a different character deliver the message with each disc you place into your CD-Player. The first Disc is Ryo, the second is Fukusan, the third disc is Chai and the Fourth disc is Nozomi.

Real-World Weather

Once you have completed the game and saved your data you can access the Options menu and turn on the Magic Weather. This will access the real weather that Yokosuka experienced in 1986 and 1987.

Unlock the 70 Person Battle

To unlock the 70 person battle, first you'll have to beat the game. Then, on disc three, go to the main menu. Select Options, then select the 70 person battle.

QTE with Mean Girls

When it is about 5 p.m. on Disc Two, head to the food stand to see a cut sceen. The girl Mi will ask her sister for money but then there will be an argument. 

Speak with the girl at the food stand afterwards and she will ask you to calm her sister down. Head to warehouse 7 afterwards and there will be a QTE.
